The June issue of Cineworld Magazine will mark the 100th edition of Cineworld’s monthly film publication. The UK’s leading cinema chain is also celebrating the recent launch of a new iPad edition and general magazine refresh, both of which were created by Immediate Media Branded Content.
Immediate Media Branded Content has been creating print and digital versions of Cineworld Unlimited magazine for the past 10 years. Now rebranded as Cineworld Magazine, it is the most popular film magazine in the UK with a circulation of 400,000. The publication helps Cineworld increase awareness of upcoming films and drive ticket sales month on month.
With the landmark edition imminent, and to complement its own branding campaign activity, Cineworld tasked Immediate Media Branded Content to give the magazine a complete refresh. The magazine now benefits from a new, stylish design makeover with more in-depth film features and an expanded news section.
The new iPad app is the latest addition to the suite of communications created by Immediate Media Branded Content and ensures that Cineworld’s audience can access all the latest film news while they are on the go. It provides a dynamic and truly interactive digital experience, containing all the latest movie news, star interviews, film features and trailers. The app complements existing print and digital communication platforms provided by Immediate Media Branded Content and keeps Cineworld Cinemas at the forefront of the cinema industry in terms of digital media content and audience engagement.
Immediate Media Branded Content also develops Cineworld Digital. The only magazine of its kind in the marketplace, it is sent out to over 640,000 subscribers each month, keeping them up-to-date with the latest blockbusters, indie and Bollywood flicks.
Duncan Reid, Publishing Manager at Immediate Media Branded Content , commented: “The iPad was made for media such as Cineworld Magazine. The platform is familiar enough for readers to feel comfortable spending time immersing themselves within the in-depth written features, but is also versatile enough for us to be able to include trailers, videos and image galleries.”
Justin Skinner, VP Marketing at Cineworld, said: “We’re delighted to have made our hugely popular Cineworld Magazine available to iPad users. Immediate Media Branded Content has managed to create a totally immersive, engaging and satisfying experience – what’s more it’s free to download!”
