The Event:

Who Do You Think You Are? Live is entering its seventh year and is an established event within the Family History market. It attracted over 12,500 visitors in 2012 and is a one-stop shop for anyone interested in their genealogy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events assistant for this popular event.

 

Reporting to:                        

Event Manager

 

About the role:

Joining a dynamic team you will need to be an excellent communicator as you will be liaising with event managers, event co-ordinators and suppliers on a daily basis. You will also be heavily involved in all administration, from logging client information into the company database to using visitor research to help produce specific sales pitches and sponsorship packages.

Lead sourcing will be a very important part of your job so understanding the market will be crucial to delivering quality leads for managers. You will need to be confident, highly organised, and a people person who thrives on working in a busy environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for their first role in the events industry, as you will be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of a successful, well-established show.

 

Skills and experience required:

Essential

-       Ability to generate leads

-       Exceptionally well organised, with the proven ability to take on multi-tasking

-       Excellent time management skills

-       Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills

-       Ability to work on your own and show initiative

-       Articulate, meticulous and driven

-       Basic understanding of Excel and Word
